Online Sale of Original Work and Limited Edition Prints

Chelston Gallery in Torquay, Devon offers a bespoke picture framing service and has regular exhibitions in its art gallery section.  A particular feature of the pictures exhibited and for sale is that the artists all come from in and around the Torbay area - including Torquay, Paignton, Brixham, Dartmoor and Teignbridge District.  The gallery, which probably hosts Torbay's largest collection of original art for sale, is owned and run by Kevin Alexander.

With easy (and free) parking close by, Chelston Gallery welcomes those who just wish to browse the art and those who wish to discuss framing options for their own items.  Artists whose work is on display include Kevin Alexander, Richard Berry, Peter Blakesley, Emma Carter, Nancy Celli, Jean-Alice Coombe, David Cowell, Tammie Doe, Monica Gamble, Peter Garratt, Derek Hayward, Charlotte Hetheridge, David Hughes, Sandra Litchfield, Val Lloyd, Gary Lomas, David Norman and recently Jim Doran.

I have a selection of small frames, mirrors and framed prints in 'sale' boxes, with prices ranging from just £2.50 to £9.00. Call in to the gallery to see what I have.

I now have an ebay shop where I am selling some prints that I have had in 'stock' for a while.  All can be purchased at bargain prices!  I am also selling some original work on there as well.  Items can be purchased using PayPal.  Click here to e-shop.

The framing corner of the gallery has a selection of over 300 mouldings including plain woods, stained woods, golds and silvers and 100 mount colours - enough to choice to suit all tastes.

By using quality materials and personally making the frames, Kevin is confident that all framed work leaving the shop is of the highest standard whilst also at sensible prices.

A key feature of the Gallery is the Exhibition Space, an area reserved for featured artists.  The exhibitions generally change every four weeks, so there is always something new to view.  See the Exhibitions and Diary pages for more information.  This is probably Torbay's largest collection to exclusively feature locally produced works of art.

Recent exhibitions include Kim Aldis' stunning photographs, David Barlows charming wildlife watercolours, Jim Doran's moody Dartmoor scenes and a collection of work by exhibition-first-timers Sarah Lucy Baker, Arianne Dubash and Tori Elliot.  The image here shows part of the exhibition featuring work by Gillian Toft.

In addition to the exhibition space is a further collection of work on display by my regular artists (see the Prints, Paintings and Artists pages).  There is a change round of what is displayed every so often, so it worth popping in when you can to see what is new.

Saturday    10:00am to 3:00pm
